The world is full of icons, but what exactly does it mean to be iconic? According to the dictionary, ‘iconic’ signifies being ‘celebrated, revered, or idolised’. Of course, we all have our own personal favourites. Who comes to mind for you? Out on a larger scale, there are globally recognized icons, such as the pyramids, Great Wall of China, or the city of Rome. Every industry has its own, and the foodservice industry is no exception.
Think of chefs, such as Gordon Ramsay or Alain Ducasse, and dishes like Boeuf Bourguignon and Fish ‘n Chips. There are also iconic restaurants you may know, like Le Train Blue or Caffe Florian.
At Lamb Weston we also have our icons. We take pride in our foundational ingredient; the iconic potato, from which we craft our truly renowned Twister Fries. In this edition, we honour their iconic status and aim to inspire you to recognise your own or even create new ones.
