Accelerating our Ambition: Digital, Sustainable, Inclusive.

Introduction

Our planet faces growing challenges. Extreme weather conditions make regular appearances in headlines and long-standing workforce disparities have made social impact a central concern for businesses. Society’s expectation for responsible action, guided by social, regulatory and legal boundaries, has grown in urgency.

Digital businesses share in this responsibility. Data centres and emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) present new challenges for managing carbon footprints, amongst other concerns. At IDHL, we have made good progress against our environmental objectives; year on year improving against our targets.

And whilst this progress should be acknowledged, we recognise there is still work to be done. We are focused on building a future that is not only environmentally responsible but equitable and accessible for all. For the first time at IDHL, we have outlined a clear social impact roadmap for our overarching DEI vision: creating a workplace that embraces diversity, promotes equity and fosters an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.

In this report, we share our collective progress and achievements in 2024, outlining our ambitions to accelerate our impact towards our 2030 vision.

In a world increasingly defined by pressing environmental challenges and social disparity, we are unwavering in our commitment to ensuring our success never comes at the expense of sustainability, equality or integrity.

DEI is a primary focus for our future. Building diverse, balanced teams that reflect the society we represent is both a moral and business imperative. Fostering diversity and reshaping power structures gives everyone opportunities to thrive and ensures every IDHL colleague feels valued, empowered and safe, regardless of their background.

While we have long been focused on making a
positive impact, this is the first time we are
formalising our ambitions and setting out clear
strategic goals. In the following pages, we
share our progress over the past year,
assessing our efforts against the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals
and transparently outlining our DEI strategy.

We are mindful that our actions today will
shape the world of tomorrow. The targets
we have set for ourselves are ambitious,
but our purpose is clear. Technology, talent
and training are central to achieving our
social impact objectives, enabling us to
become a growth-centric digital services
group that leverages diverse perspectives,
experiences and talents to achieve
sustainable success.

Our Impact in 2024

Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action, urging global cooperation in tackling the most defining challenges of our time. The collection of 17 goals is set to be achieved by 2030 and addresses a range of issues, including inequality, climate change and social justice.

At IDHL, we share this collective ambition of increasing the quality of life for everyone on the planet. The SDGs provide us with a strategic framework to put meaningful change into action and look beyond our own operations. We are proud to be supporting several of the goals and embedding them into the way we work:
