BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

  • Education: MBA/PGDBM/Postgraduates (Marketing, Economics, Development Studies, Humanities etc.) or undergraduate with relevant experience mix
     
    Experience: 7-10 Years of relevant experience in Business Development, Funding and Partnerships with NGOs, Think Tanks, CSR divisions, etc.

  • Competencies required:
    • Proven experience of raising funds from organizations of repute and HNIs for NGOs, Think Tanks, Art & Philanthropy, Impact Initiatives etc.
    • Good understanding of the funding and partnership building process and the related ecosystem
    • Good communication skills with preference to bilingual and multi-lingual skills
    • Keen interest in literature, art and books
    • Building relations/Networking • Influencing & Negotiation Skills
    • Project Management Skills
    • Ability to work in a target driven environment
    • Motivated to work on a target linked compensation plan

Qualifications/Must have

  • Business & Service Development –
    • Develop pitch deck comprising o Vision, organization, activities,
             o Why the platform ?
             o Develop funding options for various offerings, thematic associations, and activity pool o Etc.
    • Create option list comprising HNIs, business entities, funds & other organizations as potential sponsorship partners
    • Formal outreach comprising presentation / discussions and proposals
    • Seek commitments and secure funding and MOUs
    • Assess the platform calendar of events and develop option list / possibilities for seeking short term sponsorships from product / service entities that are event / activity specific associations
    • Outreach for seeking event-based sponsorship commitments / associations that may include restricted association to an event or activity under the umbrella of the platform
    • Tactical association on behalf of the organization to leverage platform for consumer connect or thematic association for the entity or the brand
    • Research, analyse and maintain regular register of donor calls for funding applications including tenders, expressions of interest and requests for proposals
    • Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization
    • Advise on potential partnerships with other organisations and agencies and identify specific opportunities: Identify and pursue funding opportunities.
    • Conduct partner and competitor analysis, negotiate teaming agreements, and lead or participate directly in large value bids developed by consortia
    • To build business pipeline and generate new business, nurture and grow new donor / sponsorship accounts.
    Nurturing the leads and creating the funnel.
    • Achieve the revenue and receivable targets for the practice for attainment of company’s business targets and profitability
    • Identify, analyze, pursue and report on business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
    • Developing sales channel in the market and implementing business development initiative
    • Monitor and analyze emerging trends, technologies and market behavior by constant communication (primary and secondary research) with the industry connects worldwide.
    • Negotiating and finalizing commercial related documents and formal agreement finalization process to get the client on boarded with the organization.
